A staple in the manufacturing award schedule for the last 12 years, the prestigious Insider’s Made In The North East Awards celebrate North East based manufacturing businesses and the skilled workforces they employ.
The awards showcase those companies which have excelled in innovation, product development and growth in either domestic or overseas markets over the course of the last 12 months.
The Expanded Metal Company has been shortlisted in the Manufacturing Future Talent Award and Manufacturer of the Year (below £25m). And our recent apprentice, Tiegan Cranney, has been shortlisted in the Apprentice of the Year category.

Other awards categories include Digital Technology, Manufacturing Innovation, Automotive, Aerospace & Rail, Export, Food & Drink, Sustainable/Ethical Manufacturer, Manufacturing Start-up and Manufacturer of the Year (above £25m).
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner taking place at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead Hotel on 14 March 2024.
