The Expanded Metal Company has extensive experience in the security sector. Our ExMesh™ range of security solutions are employed in the protection of staff and assets in sectors and environments including critical national infrastructure, defence, prisons, transport infrastructure, utilities, education and the public sector.

The ExMesh™ range includes security fencing systems, security gates, additional metal mesh security solutions such as cages and anti-climb measures.

As expanded metal mesh is formed from one piece of material, there is nothing to work loose, no fretting strands or strained joins or welds – the homogenous design of expanded metal results in an inherently strong material. Unlike other products available on the market, our panels cannot be easily targeted at their welds or simply parted with common tools such as scissor jacks.

In addition, our experience in manufacturing and supplying walkway mesh can be brought to bear on sites where observation gantries and platforms are required.

Examples of our security products include:

• The ExMesh™ Class 3 security system – one of the few fencing systems in the UK to gain Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) SR3 accreditation under the standard LPS 1175: Issue 7.
• ExMesh™ Class 3 gates – these provide a high-security option, available in a range of sizes and mesh infills in both pedestrian and vehicle layout.
• ExMesh™ Securilath™ – a versatile material which can be easily fitted during construction or retro-fit, and is situated within internal and external walls, ceilings, roofs and windows. LPCB LPS 1175 SR 1*, LPCB LPS 1175 SR 2* and LPCB LPS 1175 SR 3* rated products are available. Securilath™ is the only security mesh range to be certified by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) when applied to timber stud, block walls and metal stud.
