For more than 125 years, The Expanded Metal Company has supported the construction trade. Soon after it was conceived expanded metal was quickly adopted by the construction trade as the new standard in metal lath and concrete reinforcement.
Innovation
Expanded metal laths provide an excellent key for finishing materials such as plasters and renders on masonry, ceilings, suspended ceilings and timber framed buildings. Our lathing is manufactured in galvanised sheet metal and galvanised metal panels, as well as in stainless steel materials. All of which can be used for internal and external applications.
Versatility
Lathing is not only used on flat surfaces. It can also be applied to projects that need curved or domed shapes. It offers a quick, simple and cost-effective way to create a keyed background around steel, ready for a fire protection coating.
Alongside lathing for plasterwork, we supply high-strength, anti-slip metal walkways and stair treads. These are widely used for access gantries, ramps and bridges. Our expanded metal mesh is also suitable for leaf guards, insect screens and bird protection.
