Expanded metal’s versatility and flexibility make it a popular choice for set, costume and prop design – and our metal mesh products have appeared across many TV, film, theatre and music productions.

Products from our aluminium mesh range, for instance, can be used as a substrate in the creation of stage props such as sculptures, and our foil meshes can be compressed or folded to create new shapes.

Given the industrial ‘feel’ of much expanded metal and the way it can be used to enhance eye-catching lighting effects, you’ll often find it used in science fiction films and TV shows, where it can be seen on space station walkways, elevators or in the panelling of spaceship corridors!

Our walkway mesh products can be used to create full stages, with walkway meshes also used in stairs and ramps for stage access and visual features. Where good underfoot grip is a must, our walkway meshes are ideal as they are designed to provide high levels of slip resistance.
