The Expanded Metal Company was proud to exhibit at UK Metals Expo 2025 at the NEC Birmingham which is the leading event for the entire metals supply chain.
Over two busy days, our team welcomed visitors to Stand D82, shared knowledge, and showcased the versatility of expanded metal mesh across a wide range of industries, from architecture and design to engineering and manufacturing.
Our samples and swatches proved to be a real highlight. The gold anodised finish drew particular attention, alongside sleek copper tones and bold blue stainless steel. The silver embossed mesh, with its subtle dimpling effect, also turned heads. We also introduced new powder-coated aluminium samples in copper shades, which generated strong interest among visitors. A big thank you goes to Rimex Metals Group and United Anodisers Limited for collaborating with us on these striking finishes. Alongside the stand displays, we also showcased raw aluminium samples and swatches, giving visitors a flavour of the many options available to help achieve the perfect finish for their projects.
Beyond the samples, we highlighted our fabrication capabilities, including bespoke frames and display solutions, and demonstrated the sustainability of the expanding process, which produces minimal waste compared to other methods.
The event was also a chance to engage in valuable conversations, reconnect with familiar faces, and make new connections. Visitors enjoyed branded merchandise from our stand, and we were delighted to announce the winner of our LinkedIn competition – Dan Morgan of Intrepid Manufacturing Limited, who takes home a camera drone prize.
We even managed to squeeze in a birthday celebration for colleague David Swithenbank, which provided a light-hearted moment during what was a very busy and rewarding show.
